I was surprised by how many new products I had to chose from (thank you OnStage!) but I decided to have a play with the new Magnolia Lane suite because I just couldn't wait to colour that glorious flower!

I am seriously crushing on the Petal Pink/Crumb Cake combo that some of this suite provides so for my first project I decided to go with those colours. After stamping the large magnolia on some Crumb Cake cardstock in Memento ink I used the first release of Watercolor Pencils to colour it in. After giving it a bit of a blend with my Blender Pen I lightly added some Stampin' Blends highlights in Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow. Once the flower was coloured and cut I thought I didn't really need that much to add to the card so as not to take away any of the large lovely floweriness. I added the DSP background layer and a small Petal Pink layer (stamped using the smaller flower from Good Morning Magnolia in Petal Pink ink) and some ribbon layers and finished it off by simply stamping the sentiment on the bottom of the DSP layer.

For my second card I wanted to use some of the other elements of the set so I used the smaller flower and more of the dies from the suite including the leaves and the edgelit.

I knew the moment I saw this set at OnStage that it was one of my must-haves! The stamp set contains such lovely flower images and some nice sweet sentiments and coupled with the dies and the DSP most of the cards put themselves together, they just all go so nicely!

Thank you for visiting me and I hope you enjoy the rest of the projects on this hop. Your next stop is Nicole Wilson and you can head there by clicking the 'Next' image below or her name in the list further down.
