Since I haven't been able to get many things yet from the new catalogue my projects are focused on using the new In Color range, the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut DSP and returning sets Southern Serenade and Petal Palette.

The inspiration from all my cards today came from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut DSP. These sheets are perfect for adding texture to any card but I used them slightly differently using only one sheet of the DSP to create all 10 of my cards!

I started with a sheet of the DSP that has the several designs on it (upper left of the picture above) and cut that into 6 card fronts. I used 5 of these, one with each of the new In Colors, making two cards from each. After cutting the DSP I cut some Whisper White cardstock to the same size and layered the whisper white under the DSP pieces. Then using a sponge brayer I rolled on 3 colours on each to create an ombre effect. When I was finished I separated the two layers and I had one layer of the DSP that was coloured and the Whisper White layer that showed the pattern of the DSP in the 3 colours, kind of like using them as masks. So I was able to to use the Whisper White piece on one card and the coloured DSP on the other, in each In Color, making 10 cards. I hope that all makes sense.

Here are the cards with the coloured DSP...

Here is a closer look at each card. I tried to layer them all a little differently and I kept them quite simple so the beginner stamper would easily be able to achieve this look.
