Just Add Ink #386 - Just Add R

Jo's Stamping Spot - Just Add Ink #386

This week over at Just Add Ink we've been challenge by Tina to 'Just Add R'. I came up with some ideas - Rich Razzleberry, rhinestones, reindeer, romance, red foil, ribbons, Real Red or Rose Red... In the end I went with the Rose Wonder stamp set and matching Rose Garden thinlits and some ribbon.

Jo's Stamping Spot - Just Add Ink #386

Due to the size of it's main stamp I find Rose Wonder quite limited in it's use so for this card I mainly used the Rose Garden thinlits. I stamped the large flower in Sahara Sand onto vellum to give me an outline and then cut around just the flower. I layered this with the matching (cut down) die cut from the thinlits using the new Champagne Foil - wow is it stunning! I paired the Champagne Foil with Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Tip Top Taupe and Very Vanilla. Such an elegant colour combination!

The last touch to this card was the die cut sentiment from the Sunshine Wishes dies. After cutting it out I used a small brush to apply some of the old Champagne Mist that SU used to carry. I also splattered some of this on the watercolour background and it looks lovely in person!
