Just Add Ink #527 - Sketch Challenge

I have a new card for you today for the latest Just Add Ink challenge and this week we are creating with a sketch!

I admit this sketch had me stumped, I really had nothing coming to mind that fit with this sketch so I decided to change path and step outside the box!

Instead of using some die cuts for the flair above the oval I decided to go simple and just use some twine and a simple oval die cut. The Peony bundle was perfect for this soft image I had in mind for my oval and I gently added some Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate ink to it using water painters.

The card itself is a base of Basic Gray. I added another layer of the same but used my sponge daubers and Versamark to add some splotchiness to the cardstock before running it through the Big Shot with the Subtle embossing folder. I set my watercoloured Peony on another oval of Smoky Slate and popped it up with a simple birthday sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings.
