Puppy Watercolour Birthday!

I'm popping in quickly today to share a card I made for my gorgeous niece and her 14th birthday recently.

Those that know and follow me know we are lovers of Golden Retrievers. My mum used to breed them and owned 11 at one point, I'm on my third since I moved out of home some 20 years ago, and my sister is up to number 4. Here is a photo of some of our puppies taken in 2010.

So as a big puppy person I find it too hard to let go of the retired set Bella & Friends which I used for her card. I had to dig out an old retired colour, Hello Honey, to get a colour similar to a Retriever but all the others are current.

We have a big challenge today! Just Add Ink is kicking off it's 500th challenge with a blog hop! We've got a seriously easy challenge for you - just add a die cut word!

Challenges don't get more simple than this one, a chance to stretch your creativity! I decided I wanted to have a play with the Painted Poppies suite because I hadn't already done so, plus my seriously gorgeous niece is having a birthday so this seemed just perfect to kill two birds with one card!

Social Stamping Blog Hop - Thank You

I'm back with another #SocialStamping Blog Hop today, hosted again by the fabulous Kelly Kent, and this week we have the theme of 'Thank You'.

There are so many people we can and need to thank in the current climate, nurses, doctors, front line responders, even local heroes that may have helped you out in some small way. This hop is to give you some inspiration to make those 'Thank You' cards and send them out.

Just Add Ink #499 - Colour Challenge

Happy Friday and welcome to our latest Just Add Ink Challenge! This week we have a colour challenge for you suggested by Rachael!

This colour challenge is fairly similar to one we did towards the end of last year, it's just missing Smoky Slate! For that challenge I did this odd-coloured Christmas card and this time I wanted to do something completely different!
