Social Stamping Blog Hop - Hello!

Jo's Stamping Spot - Social Stamping Blog Hop - Hello!

I've got a little something different for you today, I'm joining in with a Blog Hop of lovely Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are banding together to share their stamping creations while 'locked away' at home. During these difficult times we want to share a little bit of happiness with you and perhaps inspire you to spend some time crafting to share some joy with others. Hopefully you've landed here from gorgeous Denita Wright-Smee's blog and her wonderful project, if not start here and work your way around.

Jo's Stamping Spot - Social Stamping Blog Hop - Hello!

This fabulous idea came from, and is hosted by, the awesome Kelly Kent, a fellow Just Add Ink Design Team member. All the links are on her blog in case you miss a step on the way around. If you get stuck just click the banner above and you will be returned to her blog.

My project is quintessentially my style, flowers, watercolouring, ribbon, bling, embossing, die cuts... I started with a card base of Pool Party, layered with vellum and then a piece of embossed Shimmery White cardstock with a splash of Pool Party ink over it. I've used the Sale-A-Bration set Happy Birthday to You to add some pretty flowers. These were watercoloured on more Shimmery White cardstock using Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay inks. I embossed the flowers with the Shimmer Black embossing powder to add a bit of sparkle.

To finish the project I added the flowers to a Stitched Nested Label die cut, stamped the 'Hello' and added the 'friend' die cut. I coloured the ribbon with a mix of Coastal Cabana ink refill and some water. It might get a bit messy but it doesn't take long for the ribbon to dry. Some Coastal Cabana rhinestones finished my card.
