This week at Just Add Ink it's our 400th Challenge! The challenge this week is an inspiration challenge by the lovely Kim and to help celebrate there may be a guest designer spot and also a prize or two up for grabs for our Winner and Honourable Mentions! The perfect time to start entering! Have a look at the great inspiration picture!
Of course this picture screams Easter to me but as I don't do Easter cards I took inspiration from the different colours and specks and went with something fun to celebrate!
I used the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and Bermuda Bay (blues), Berry Burst (pinks), Peekaboo Peach (yellows) and threw in some Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party inks to create my own DSP/patterned background. I topped it off with a Starburst punched piece that I coloured in with the light Pool Party Blends marker, a stitched circle and a cutout Party Panda.
I really am pleased with the way it turned out although not having lined up the two-step stamping of the background I probably could have practiced beforehand! I ended up giving this card to my gorgeous daughter Rachael who turned 14 during this week and was so pleased she loved it too!
